The product will most likely be called the DJI Osmo Mobile and will feature the Zenmuse M1 gimbal described below. The DJI Zenmuse M1 was just leaked! It’s a Handheld Gimbal which holds your Smartphone and is based on the Osmo series. DJI is holding an Announcement on Sept. 1st in Berlin at the IFA Show, for which they updated their Homepage with the teaser “Beyond Smart”. We now know it will be the newly leaked DJI Zenmuse M1 Gimbal. The FCC ID location clearly confirms that the Zenmuse M1 Gimbal will be for Smartphones. It will be similar to the known and tried DJI Osmo which just received a spec-bump with the DJI Osmo+ giving it a Zoom camera lens and extended battery life. The Zenmuse M1 Handheld Gimbal will be officially announced at the IFA Tradeshow in Berlin on Sept. 1st. The FCC ID clearly shows the DJI Zenmuse M1 with model id ZM01 The Handle The Handle of the Zenmuse M1 Gimbal will be the same as on the normal DJI Osmo and the newly released DJI Osmo+. It will therefore be compatible with the normal DJI Osmo Intelligent Batteries including the 980 mAh standard Osmo battery and the 1225 mAh “High Capacity” battery which comes standard on the DJI Osmo+. It also allows for compatibility with the existing accessories available for the DJI Osmo. The Zenmuse M1 Gimbal on the DJI Osmo Mobile The Gimbal will be compatible with all recent Smartphones, but most likely demo’d and illustrated with the Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Apple new iPhones releasing at the Sept. 7th Media Event will also be compatible. Of course the Android devices of choice will also work. The Smartphones will most likely need to run the DJI Go App to adjust the gimbal motors based on which phone you have attached. Additionally, you will be able to use the App to control manual controls that you have become used to on the Osmo series of cameras. Availability & Price We expect to be able to place orders the same day with shipping in 15-20 days. This makes the expected Shipment Date for the DJI Zenmuse M1 the 10th – 12th of September. This goes along with earlier rumors that there will be a lower end version utilizing an ofdm (wifi) based link. This should be similar to the remote control system used in the Phantom 3 4K. The Mavic Pro will feature full-range Lightbridge as we know it on the Phantom 4. There may be further limitations to the Mavic S such as Camera Resolution, but the main thing currently is pointing to the technology used in the remote control. DJI Wind 1 – DJI’s New Industrial Drone Leaked

DJI Wind 1 – DJI’s New Industrial Drone Leaked

DJI’s new industrial drone is the DJI Wind 1. In a recent leak, images of the Wind 1 appeared along with a few of its Specs. It is rumored to be officially announced September 2nd-7th during the IFA in Berlin. The Wind 1 name may be an internal codename. We could see it releasing under the Mxx Product Line or getting it’s own such as the Agras MG-1. Stay tuned as this page is being updated as more information becomes available. Here’s what we know about the DJI Wind 1: DJI Wind 1 – Industrial Drone that is rumored to be Rainproof (more on that later…we aren’t sold yet) “Windproof “- Max Wind Resistance 12 m/s (26.84mph / 43.2 km/h) Size – 740mm Diagonal from Motor to Motor Dimension – 582mm (L) x 582mm (W) x 280mm (H) Operating Temperature: -10°C to +50°C Weight (with TB47D Battery x 2) 4040 grams Weight (with TB48D Battery x2) 4225 grams Max Takeoff Weight: 6000 grams Max Load Weight (With TB47D x2): 1960 grams Max Load Weight (With TB48D x2): 1735 grams Hover Accuracy (GPS Mode) Vertical: 0.5 m Horizontal: 2.5 m Max Angular Velocity: Pitch-axis: 300°/s Yaw-axis: 150°/s Max Pitch Angle 35° Max Ascent Speed: 5 m/s Max Descent Speed: 4 m/s Max Wind Resistance: 12 m/s Max Flight Speed 22 m/s (in ATTI mode, no payload, no wind) 17 m/s (in GPS mode, no payload, no wind) Flight Times: Hover Time (with TB48D Battery x2) 38 minutes Hover Time (with TB48D Battery x2 + Zenmuse X3) 31 minutes Hover Time (with TB48D Battery x2 + Zenmuse Z3) 31 minutes Hover Time (with TB48D Battery x2 + Zenmuse XT) 31 minutes Propulsion System: Customized E1200 Motors The Wind 1 is aimed at commercial customers with the rumored launch price of €9,950. This price will include two batteries and the Pelican style hardcase.   The new Wind 1 features the same integrated centrifugal cooling system as the Agras MG-1. This means that air enters the front of the drone through the black grill, where then dust and particulate matter are filtered out. Next, the air flows through the carbon fiber arms and dissipates through the motors. This allows the internal components and motors to be cooled much better than on traditional systems and extends the life of motors up to three times.     While the Shell in the first pictures may be rainproof, we habe our doubts of the above pictured configuration will be rainproof. It shows a cutout for a CAN-Bus expansion port and four mounting pins sitting on top of the body shell of the Wind 1. At the top of the image, you can see...

Features to expect from the DJI Phantom 4

The DJI Phantom 4 launches tomorrow (1.3.2016), let’s take a look at what we know so far and which features we can expect. To chronologically read about the leaks and our analysis of the Phantom 4 check out our main P4 page.   Vision Detection Sensors will allow for Return-to-Home with Collision Avoidance. Quick-Release propellers will allow for an even quicker and safer mounting of the propellers. The Integrated Anti-Vibration Board allows for a more streamlined design reducing aerodynamic drag while in full directional flight. It will additionally make the Phantom 4 gimbal sturdier. The gimbal holds the camera on both sides for greater stability. Wide Landing Gear will increase the Phantom 4’s footprint to allow easier landing even in windy conditions. Additionally, the receiver antennas and compass are now fully enclosed in the Landing Gear.   New motors will allow for more efficient propulsion. They feature slits across the base of the housing for improved cooling. The top of the motor will suck fresh air in and allow it to escape through these small exhaust openings. The Mesh Vents are located on the bottom of the arms. Another view of them can be found here. Interestingly there are no vents on top of the shell. Since there is no longer an external anti-vibration board & camera processing board, the microSD slot and micro-USB ports have been moved to the left side of the shell. The LED’s that used to run along the arm are now in a circular pod directly under the motors. The Landing Feet aren’t just limited to four little foam rectangles but run the entire length of the new Landing Gear.   The Phantom 4 battery compartment laid on top of our Phantom 3 Professional. Another view showcasing the huge battery! There is only one way to describe the new battery. Large. The additional Visual Detection Sensors, larger motors better camera require more power. The larger battery ensures we get to run all these new systems in addition to a longer flight time. Our estimate is 30 minutes. Pricing should be in the $1500-$1700 range for the Pro or top of the line model with 4K camera and Lightbridge. Well, there you have it, the soon-to-be-released DJI Phantom 4. We hope you have enjoyed our analysis, and invite you to join the Phantom 4 Facebook Group. If you haven’t already please subscribe to our newsletter, just fill out the form below....
