DJI Spark leaked – FPV Racer

UPDATE: Release Announcement Invitations are out! Check the latest leaked images of the DJI Spark. The latest DJI drone, the DJI Spark has been leaked. The drone will be even smaller than the Mavic Pro and will be more oriented towards FPV racing. It will still be able to capture smooth 4K video and even have some of the obstacle avoidance we have become used to. Everything we know about the leaked DJI Spark is available below. DJI Spark DJI filed for a trademark with the name SPARK on March 9th. Why this is important you will see in the Release Date section below. In some of the leaked information, there is a reference to not only Spark but also the codename MM1A. This could potentially also receive the name Mavic Mini or Mini Mavic, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was indeed called the DJI Spark. We have been waiting for a drone of this size and style to be released for a while now. DJI did release their oddly named “Snail” FPV Racing motor and ESC line a few months back. We thought a tiny compact FPV or selfie drone was long overdue. Update 10: The DJI Spark Countdown! The time has come! The DJI Spark Release is around the corner. You will be able to follow along the Announcement by following this link during the Announcement: DJI Spark Announcement Update 9: Official DJI Spark Teaser released! DJI today released an official teaser video for the May 24th “Seize the Moment” Event. Check out below:   Update 8: Spark Release Invitations are out! The timeline of the FCC filings, leaked images which you can check out below and the fact that the Spark wasn’t released at NAB point to an announcement at this event. Stay tuned for further updates regarding the DJI Spark release! Update 7: Further leaked DJI Spark images leaked In the image below you can for the first time get a glimpse of what the remote control for the DJI Spark will look like. At first glance, it appears very similar to the remote control of the Mavic Pro. You can see that the built-in LCD screen has been left out, most likely for cost saving reasons. The normal smartphone holders appear to fold down just as they do on the Sparks bigger brothers remote control, the Mavic Pro. Additionally visible are three batteries with the new quad contact points for the rumored charging station. The battery on the left appears to have a fake shell surrounding a harder battery enclosure,...

New DJI Inspire 2 Black leaked & other products

A new DJI Inspire 2 Black has been leaked! DJI is attending the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. They left us with the image below teasing with a new Inspire 2 Black. The conference starts on the 27th (next week), stay tuned for updates on this rumored Inspire 2 Black and other products!   Inspire 2 Pro Black One realistic possibility, based on the image above, is a new Inspire 2 Pro Black Edition. If we compare the Inspire 2 motor to the image above we see similarities.   (Inspire 2 vs leaked image of rumored Inspire 2 Black) Top and bottom motor cooling slots appear to be identical Status Indicator LED appears to be the same size without the gray dual colored finish Another Difference: The propeller doesn’t seem to feature a quick-release connection as featured on the Inspire 2 The Inspire 1 Black was released 4 months after the X5 camera was announced. This timeframe could fit for an Inspire 2 Black release. One could argue that the area just below the LED appears to be different, but this could just be a difference of the angle that the photographs were taken.   A new Matrice Drone? The change to the quick-release prop adapter is a larger difference and may be a reason that rumors of a new Matrice Platform could adopt the Inspire 2 style motors. The Matrice 100 features propellers similar to the ones in the leaked image. A new drone such as a new Matrice would be more exciting than just an Inspire 2 black but let’s see what will be announced.   A complete FPV Racer? DJI just posted a new video showcasing their FPV Racing technology “Snail“, the Takyon ESC’s and new racing propellers. Perhaps we will see a complete Drone being launched showcasing this new platform!   Don’t forget the Mobile World Congress starts next week, sign up to our newsletter below to not miss out on any...

DJI Mavic Pro Accessories – Everything you need to know

The Mavic Pro from DJI has been out for a few months now. DJI frequently releases new accessories for the Mavic Pro. This page is updated when new accessories are available, so be sure to check back often. Now check out the newest accessories for the DJI Mavic Pro!   DJI Mavic Accessories The newest items are at the top of the page. We’ve also included replacement items, so you can easily find items such as the Gimbal Cover. Just in case you lose or scratch yours, or you want to modify one. Mavic ND Filters (Mavic Pro ND Filter Set) ND or Neutral Density filters reduce the amount of light that enters the lens of the Mavic’s camera. Why would you want this? In bright conditions, the Mavic will be forced to use super quick shutter speeds, which is the opposite of what you want. For smooth cinematic footage, you should normally double your framerate (fps) as your shutter speed. When the sun is out during the day this is impossible, therefore Video-, Foto- and Cinematographers rely on ND filters. They reduce each color the same amount so there aren’t any adverse color shifts when filming with them. The filters snap onto the provided grooves on your Mavic’s camera lens. Normally you have to purchase each filter separately, but DJI offers this affordable Mavic ND Filter Combo Set. Mavic Remote Control Sunshade (Mavic Sunshade) Ever fly your Mavic and wish you could actually see what was displayed on your smartphone? This Mavic Sunshade for your Remote Control is for you. It features a magnetic flap which allows you to either fold the flap up to allow greater visibility of the built-in LCD screen; or fold it down for even more glare reducing goodness. You slip the antennas of your Mavic remote control into the provided antenna tubes. Finally, an accessory which also sets up the antennas perfectly for you! More details on the Sunshade here. Mavic Battery (Mavic Battery) Additional batteries allow you to stay in the air longer. Don’t let that perfect shot or sequence get ruined by running out of juice. Having at least 3-4 batteries allows for flexibility between filming and having to find place & time to charge. The official Mavic batteries can be found here. Mavic Car Charger (Mavic Car Charger) Speaking of charging your Mavic’s batteries while being on-the-go. The Mavic Car Charger allows you to charge the batteries and the remote control when you have a 12V socket available to you. Charging a battery takes around 55min for a full charge. Low-voltage protection ensures that your vehicle will be able to start...
